Julia Howard is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN) and Run Coach at JKConditioning.
A former National Team member and varsity athlete, Julia’s approach to nutrition comes from her desire to fuel for high performance and digestive health.
Julia received her Masters of Public Health from Simon Fraser University and holds a diploma in nutrition from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. She also completed a certification in Sports & Exercise Nutrition through Precision Nutrition.
In 2018, she became a Distance Coach through the VDotO2 Distance Coach program designed by physiologist and coach, Dr. Jack Daniels.
Julia’s athletic background spans two decades of competitive running from 400 metres up to half marathon.
She represented Canada at the 2001 Junior Pan Am Games, 2004 North American, Central American and Caribbean Championships (U23), and the 2005, 2007, & 2009 World Student Games.
She finished 4th in the 800 metres at the Canadian Olympic Trials in 2004 and 2008 and 5th in the 1500 metres in 2012. In 2019, she was inducted into the Simon Fraser University Athletic Hall of Fame for her achievements as a varsity athlete.
