Thomas King, MSc, CSCS, CSEP-CEP, has worked as a personal trainer in St. John’s since graduating from Memorial University with his Bachelor of Kinesiology degree in 2014. While working as a trainer, Thomas pursued his Master of Science in Kinesiology at Memorial with a focus on human performance in harsh environments graduating in May 2016. While completing his master’s, Thomas was the recipient of the George and Mary Behm award which is awarded annually to the Human Kinetics and Recreation graduate student who attains the highest course average.
Prior to beginning with JKC in July of 2016, Thomas worked with a wide variety of clientele including those in the clinical population with conditions such as: MS, diabetes, and soft tissue injuries and those in the general population seeking to improve their performance, physique, and well-being.
As JK Conditioning’s first full-time coach, Thomas assists in providing the superior quality of coaching that JKC is known to provide. Thomas is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is also a Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) with the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP).
